ALYCE HATCH CENTER TO OFFER UNIQUE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT
Proceeds to Benefit Special Projects at the Center
BEND, Ore, November 28, 2006 -- The Alyce Hatch Center is offering handmade pottery Christmas ornaments for sale. Funds received from the sale of ornaments go directly to families with children at the Alyce Hatch Center.
This year marks the thirteenth year that the Alyce Hatch Center board has produced Christmas ornaments as a fundraiser. Like in previous years, the 2006 ornament, a Snowflake, is different than ornaments made in previous years. The Alyce Hatch Center board has once again teamed up with Sisters’ potter, Ken Merrill, owner of Canyon Creek Pottery, to create and manufacture these unique clay pieces.
“The ornaments are a great gift for family, friends or valued employees,” said Ann Elkin, president of Alyce Hatch Center, Inc. “The “Snowflakes” will be available December 1st.
The 2006 ornaments will sell for $9. Ornaments will be available at shops in Bend and Sisters, including The Book Barn, Saxons Fine Jewelers, The Alyce Hatch Center, The Bulletin, St. Charles, Unicom and Canyon Creek Pottery in Sisters. The Alyce Hatch Center, which is located at 1406 NW Juniper St. in Bend, is a regional resource for special needs children and their families. Services provided at the center are designed to address the special education and therapeutic needs of children from birth through age five. The program housed at the Alyce Hatch Center has been assisting with these needs since 1975 and has been housed at the Alyce Hatch Center since 1985. |
